Fashion week is swirling around us – New York, London, Paris, Los Angeles – a flurry of month-long worldly fashion from the top designers. Last week I counted down the latest trends from New York, and this week I’m taking a peak into one of the other major fashion capitals of the world – Milan. Jeremy Scott is the King of Kitsch in his first collection for the Italian brand, which includes lots of yellow and the face of Spongebob plastered everywhere. The designer also ups the satirical element of his clothing by featuring brands like McDonald’s, Hershey’s, and Budweiser, keeping things funky in his post-modern pop fashion collection.
DOLCE & GABBANA
Italian design duo Dolce & Gabbana pulled out all the stops for their romantic, whimsical fairytale show. Speaking of fairytales, with this fur number, I’m definitely getting a Little Red Riding Hood vibe. Anyone?
Muiccia Prada continues prima e doppo la guardia featuring bold, mad shearling coats, Bauhaus patterns, pinafore dresses, and skinny scarves. The no-nonsense, slicked hairstyles are the perfect complement to the German-Expressionist inspired Fall line.
